Lodge

Lodge cast iron has been manufacturing traditionally high quality cookware and accessories since 1896. Today, the company operates two foundries in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, where it has called home since the beginning. With over 125 years of experience, every piece of Lodge cookware is built to last and be versatile. They don't just make cookware - they create memories that last generations. The Dutch Oven is the alternative/complement to the grill and smoker. A Dutch Oven is a heavy pot with a cast iron lid. The pot and lid fit together so well that hardly any air is drawn during cooking and no moisture escapes. Due to the thick walls of cast iron, the heat in the Dutch Oven is evenly distributed and stored. This heat distribution ensures that the food is cooked gently and evenly. Meat becomes particularly tender.
